Group Counseling

Wise Aging - Group Counseling

Wise Aging groups developed out of the powerful book, Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience and Spirit, by Rabbi Rachel Cowen and Dr. Linda Thal. Using the book as a guide, Dr. Berger leads participants through a process of self-discovery and appreciation of older age. Over a series of 6-8 sessions, participants learn to appreciate the opportunities that come with aging, learn skills to manage stress, and build connection with others.

  • Group counseling sessions rooted in Jewish wisdom on aging
  • Spiritual guidance for individuals navigating later life
  • Service covered by OHIP
  • Text study and reflection on meaning, purpose, and legacy
