Clinical Medicine
Geriatric Medicine
Comprehensive, whole-person care for older adults — in clinic and in hospital — rooted in the conviction that every stage of life deserves to be met with depth and dignity.
About the Clinic
Dr. Berger provides geriatric medicine consultation services to inpatients at Toronto Grace Health Centre as well as comprehensive outpatient geriatric assessments in clinic.
The Outpatient Geriatric Medicine Clinic is located on the main floor at Toronto Grace, 650 Church Street (at Bloor and Church, steps from Bloor/Yonge subway). Both in-person and virtual appointments are available, with no catchment area restrictions.
Geriatric Oncology
Geriatric oncology is a highly specialized field focused on optimizing cancer care for older patients. It requires a deep understanding of patient priorities, an appreciation of cancer-specific prognosis, and the ability to balance competing health problems that are common in later life.
Dr. Berger was instrumental in growing the geriatric oncology program at Princess Margaret Hospital from 2017 to 2023 — increasing patient volumes, helping to establish clinical procedures, training countless residents and fellows, and contributing to research.
In 2025–2026, Dr. Berger worked with oncology teams at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital to support the development of their geriatric oncology program.
